Shells zucchini and shrimp / Vol-au-vent zucchine e gamberetti

Puff shells are little baskets that can be filled with different ingredients.
Tonight I prepared them with zucchini and shrimp. They can be served as appetizers or even as a main course.

Ingredients:

  • 6 puff shells
  • ½ pound shrimps
  • 2 small zucchini

Directions:

  1. Place in oven and cook the puff shells.
  2. After about 20 minutes take them out of the oven and let them cool.
  3. Wash and cut the zucchini.
  4. Unshell the shrimps.
  5. In a pan, cook the zucchini and when they are almost cooked add the shrimps.
  6. Add a pinch of salt and finish cooking.
  7. Wait until the mixture cools down.
  8. Fill the puff shells just before serving to avoid them to soften down.

Vol-au-vent sono dei cestinetti di sfoglia vuoti che possono essere riempiti con diversi condimenti.
Stasera li ho preparati con zucchine e gamberetti. Possono essere serviti come antipasti o anche come un secondo piatto.

Ingredienti:

  • 6 vol-au-vent
  • 150g di gamberetti
  • 2 zucchine

Procedimento:

  1. Mettere in forno e cucinare i voul-au-van.
  2. Dopo circa 20 minuti uscirli dal forno e farli raffreddare.
  3. Lavare e tagliare a rondelle le zucchine.
  4. Sgusciare i gamberetti.

  1. What a wonderful idea and food combination! I actually am planning to make vol-au-vents as part of an upcoming food/book blog, and I think I may use this as the base recipe. Looks lovely and yummy, too!
